select the materials and learn about its maintenance

  • MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING OF POLYSTON artificial stone SURFACES

    • We recommend washing with regular detergents. Do not use harsh detergents (wire, felt sponges and chemicals) or detergents containing microparticles (abrasive powders), as their granules can cause surface microcapillaries to form, which can change the original shine. This phenomenon is visible when viewed against the light, especially on darker and single-colored patterns. This type of maintenance and cleaning also applies to sinks and washbasins with the ANTISHOCK surface protective layer, as this protective layer may be damaged.
    • The material is resistant to common food dyes (coffee, tea, red wine), but prolonged exposure to the dye may leave a visible mark on the surface of the board. It is advisable to use a detergent containing citric acid or lemon juice to clean it.
    • Grease stains can be removed using alcohol-based cleaning agents. Try to remove liquids and dirt from the surface of the product with water as soon as possible, this will simplify and speed up cleaning. After removing dirt, we recommend treating the surface of the board with furniture polish containing beeswax.
    • Cleaning with agents for dissolving limescale, rust, organic solvents, etc. can damage the surface of the board, so we do not recommend using them to clean the surface of the worktop.
    • We do not recommend cutting directly on the surface of the worktop. Use a cutting board to handle sharp objects.
    • We recommend using insulating pads or stainless steel strips glued to the worktop to place hot objects (pots, pans, etc.).

    MATERIAL RESTORATION

The worktop is primarily intended for standard handling of kitchen utensils and routine household work. If the recommendations for maintenance and cleaning of surfaces made of Polyston Solid Surface artificial stone are not followed, visual defects (e.g. dullness) may appear on the surface of the worktop, which can be polished or repaired in the interior "at your home" without the need for disassembly. It is important to save the cutouts of the Polyston Solid Surface worktop provided by us so that in the event of damage, the worktop can be repaired from the same pattern, since when delivering additional material with a time gap, we do not guarantee the identity of the patterns.

    MATERIAL LIMITATIONS

When selecting a color or finish, please note that samples are only a general indication of design, pattern, aesthetics, color and finish. There is no guarantee that samples will be an exact replica of the design sample and may vary slightly from the installed countertop.

  • MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING OF CERAMIC SURFACES

    • We recommend cleaning the ceramic surface with common products containing alcohol. In case of contact with chemicals, including bleach and ammonia, the surface will not be damaged. However, avoid products containing hydrofluoric acid or its derivatives.
    • To remove dust from the surface, it is advisable to use a microfiber cloth or vacuum the dirt or rub with warm water to which a cleaning solution can be added. We do not recommend using oil products and waxes, as they will leave greasy stains on the surface.
    • We do not recommend cutting with ceramic knives on the board, as this may wear the surface over time.
    • Avoid rapid alternation of high and low temperatures in the same place, as this may cause the material to crack.

    MATERIAL LIMITATIONS

    • The joints during the installation of ceramics are glued with silicone or hard epoxy tinted adhesive in the color of the plate pattern, but the joints are visible.
    • Due to their thickness, Porcela ceramic worktops are not designed to withstand excessive weight loads on the surface (e.g. standing on the surface of the plate).
    • Avoid violent, blunt and heavy blows to the worktop and its edge, as this may damage the surface and possibly chip the edge.
    • When choosing a color or surface finish, it is important to remember that the samples are only a general indication of the design, pattern, aesthetics, color and surface finish. There is no guarantee that the samples will be an exact replica of the design sample and may differ slightly from the installed worktop.
  • MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING OF NATURAL GRANITE SURFACES

    • We recommend washing and cleaning granite products with common household cleaning agents, with the exception of agents containing abrasive, powdered sand particles. This could cause the surface to become dull.
    • Granite worktops must be regularly maintained with impregnation agents for stone surfaces.
    • We do not recommend cutting directly on the surface of the worktop, as it may be scratched. Use a cutting board to handle sharp objects.
    • Natural granite is a porous material, therefore we do not recommend leaving food intended for direct consumption on the board for a long time. Bacteria can form in the pores of granite.

    MATERIAL LIMITATIONS

    • The joints during the installation of granite are glued with silicone or hard epoxy tinted adhesive in the color of the slab pattern, but the joints are visible.
    • Avoid violent blunt and heavy blows to the countertop and its edge, as this may damage the surface, possibly chipping the edge.
    • When choosing a color or finish, it is important to remember that the samples are only a general indication of the design, pattern, aesthetics, color and finish. There is no guarantee that the samples will be an exact replica of the design sample and may differ slightly from the installed countertop.
  • MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING OF SURFACES MADE OF QUARTZ

    • Quartz worktops must be regularly maintained with impregnation agents to ensure a uniform surface (especially with dark patterns).
    • We recommend washing and cleaning with common household cleaning agents, with the exception of agents containing abrasive, powdered sand particles. This could cause the surface to become dull.
    • Try to remove liquids and dirt from the surface of the product as soon as possible, this will simplify and speed up cleaning. After removing dirt, we recommend treating the surface of the board with furniture polish containing beeswax.
    • We do not recommend cutting directly on the surface of the worktop. Use a cutting board to handle sharp objects.
    • For placing hot objects (pots, pans, etc.), we recommend using insulating pads or stainless steel strips integrated into the work surface.

    MATERIAL LIMITATIONS

    • With Quartz, the joints are visible and glued with silicone or hard epoxy tinted adhesive in the color of the slab pattern.
    • The surface of Quartz can be glossy or matte and is impregnated with a special preparation. Matte worktops are impregnated with a harmless chemical that prevents water and natural dyes from absorbing into the stone. The edges are finely sanded. This design is more demanding to maintain.
  • MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING OF SURFACES MADE OF SOLID WOOD PUREWOOD

    • When removing dirt and water stains, it is necessary to immediately vacuum up the moisture with a cloth, water and liquids cannot remain on the surface.
    • We do not recommend cutting directly on the surface of the worktop, nor placing hot objects on the surface.
    • To maintain the surfaces, it is necessary to use a liquid cleaning agent without solvents, the most suitable is PRONTO polish or spray containing beeswax, which helps maintain the natural surface. With regular use, you will restore the natural color of the wood and highlight its pattern.
    • We recommend regularly treating the surface of the worktop with oil prescribed by the supplier (OSMO hardened wax matt 3062) every 6 months or, upon request, our service technicians will come to perform the oil treatment.

    MATERIAL LIMITATIONS

    • Despite the treatment of solid boards with ecological oil, wooden work surfaces are not intended for long-term contact with water or dye.
    • When choosing a color or finish, it is important to remember that samples are only a general indication of the design, pattern, aesthetics, color and finish. There is no guarantee that the samples will be an exact replica of the design sample and may differ slightly from the installed worktop.
  • MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING OF SURFACES MADE OF KERGLASS

    • We recommend washing dirty clear glass with plenty of warm, clean water; when removing greasy stains, add a little neutral detergent (Jar, Pur) or alcohol-based cleaners (Clin, Vitra, Okena).
    • When cleaning, use absorbent microfiber cloths and lint-free paper towels.
    • Clean the glass surface in circular motions so that no streaks or marks remain after drying.
    • Wash sandblasted glass only with a cloth and clean warm water; do not add dishwashing detergent or abrasives to the water. If the sandblasted glass is heavily soiled, you can add a few drops of window cleaner to the water, but the water must not foam significantly. Always wash the glass from top to bottom with a minimal amount of water to prevent "smear marks" from forming during prolonged drying. These could form even if you only wash a dirty spot, so wash the entire glass.

    MATERIAL LIMITATIONS

    • Tempered glass can withstand strong impacts, but it can still be broken, for example by hitting the corner of the glass hard. However, the glass breaks into small pieces with blunt edges due to the tempering process.
