Large-format ceramic features a scratch-resistant, abrasion-resistant, high-temperature, and frost-resistant surface. It is characterized by almost zero absorbency, antibacterial properties and high resistance to chemicals. The material is non-flammable, does not burn even in contact with direct fire, and does not release smoke or other toxic substances. When used outside, such as in tiles, paving, or facades, PORCELA is UV resistant and does not change colour tone. The overall composition of the material comes from natural raw materials and ranks among the ecological material with the possibility of complete recycling.
Large-format ceramics are produced in various thicknesses and formats according to the way the material is used. The smallest thicknesses of 3 and 6 mm are ideal for all types of tiling, interior paving but also exterior ventilated facades. Worktops are cut from plates ranging in thickness from 12 to 20 mm, depending on customer needs and overall cabinet body reinforcement. Stressed paving comes in a thickness of 12 mm, and we can format it to your specifications or in standardized formats provided by the ceramic producer.
The most common formats for ceramic worktops and tiles are 3200 x 1500 mm and 3200 x 1600 mm.
In addition to the manufacturer's formats, it is also possible to cut ceramic tiles or ceramic stair cladding to the customer's wishes. In our sample book, you can look up the thickness and format of a given ceramic pattern.
